Directions to Partner Earth Education Center
Lodging at Sweetwater Sanctuary
If you are traveling from a distance for class you may need to arrive a day early or stay a day later. There is an additional modest charge of $35 per night which includes sleeping accommodations as well as food from our organic gardens and fully equipped kitchen for you to prepare your own meals.
PublicTransportation from New York City or Boston
We can pick you up from the train or plane for a fee of $10 one way or $20 round trip.
By Train from NYC:
There is an Amtrak train that travels to Rutland, VT from New York City's Penn Station
Amtrak leaves NYC daily except Friday at 3:20 pm arriving in Rutland at 9:10 pm.
Amtrak leaves Rutland
Sunday at 4:45 pm arriving in NYC at 10:35 pm
Monday-Friday at 7:40 am arriving in NYC at 1:35 pm.
By Air from Boston:
There is a commuter flight on Cape Air from Boston
Boston to Rutland

Directions By Car
From the south: Rt. 7 North through Bennington to Danby. Turn left on Mt. Tabor Ave. Turn right at T onto Main St. and then left onto Brook Rd at Nichols Store. Follow Brook Rd for 3 miles to Keeler Rd. Turn left onto Keeler Rd. At the T turn right and then turn lefi onto Danby Mtn. Rd. PEEC is .8 miles on the left, Or you could take Rt. 7 North to Manchester and then follow the directions from the southeast.
From the north: Rt. 7 south from Rutland. Turn right onto Mt. Tabor Ave. and then follow above directions.
From the west: NY Thruway Rt. 87 (Northway) to Saratoga exit 14. Follow Rt. 29 East until it ends (winds thru lots of little towns - stay on Rt. 29). Turn left onto Rt. 22 and continue to the only light in Salem, N Y. and turn right at the light onto Rt. 153. Rt. 153 changes to Rt. 315 but stay on this same road all the way to the end. Turn right at the T onto Rt. 30. Go one mile to Danby Mtn. Rd and turn left. PEEC is 5.6 miles on the right.
From the east: Rt. 4 to Rutland and then follow from north directions.
From the southeast or Brattleboro: Rt. 30 North to Manchester. Continue out of Manchester on Rt. 30 North through Dorset (approx. 6 miles). 1.2 miles past Dorset is Danby Mtn. Rd. Turn right and follow for 5.6 miles to PEEC on the right.
