The Partner Earth Education Center provides quality experiential education at affordable cost in a beautiful natural setting. We at PEEC believe that education is more than theoretical book learning and have found that people learn best through experience. With this in mind, we blend didactic exchange with hands-on experience so that information becomes knowledge.

We are dedicated to high quality education that is available to all people, not just a few. By keeping our costs at an affordable level we attract a varied audience creating a learning environment that is rich in diversity. We offer select work exchange positions to those in financial need and also are authorized to accept Vermont Student Assistance Corporation non-degree program grants for Vermont residents.

We believe that the setting in which you place yourself is crucial to the depth at which learning is possible. Sweetwater Sanctuary is the perfect location to release daily stress, eliminate static from your field and relax into opening receptors for optimum learning. We sit at the base of Marble Mountain and the Dorset Peaks, some of the highest peaks in southern Vermont. This is home to black bear, coyote, moose, bobcat, raven, wild turkey, porcupine, ermine, beaver and red-tail hawk. We are surrounded by thousands of acres of protected woodlands and meadows with a rushing brook that cascades down the mountain and flows centrally through the property. There are many natural springs on the mountain but right at our doorstep is Heart Spring producing several gallons of water per minute. This pure, sweet water is the constantly flowing life force of Sweetwater Sanctuary which nourishes our green allies and soil, as well as one’s own heart, soul, and spirit. Here in the quiet beauty of pristine nature your heart opens and depth perception is possible.

We hope you plan to join us this year for our variety of herbal, plant spirit healing, heart-centered, and earth-based educational opportunities. We also invite you to experience the healing environment of Sweetwater Sanctuary while meditating in our sanctuary garden. It is here, surrounded by the exquisite beauty of mountains, waterfalls, diverse plant life and abundant wildlife where you hear rushing water in the stream, smell the sweet flowers, touch the rich earth, see the moonrise and shooting stars and taste the burst of flavor in wild greens that your essential nature comes alive and you remember who you are.

Many Bright Blessings, All the Folks at PEEC
